Florida
Florida is a really fun state. We really enjoy staying here for the winter (although reservations aren’t easy to make), and there’s a lot of great places to explore! If you have bikes, there’s a lot of awesome biking trails, and if you love animals or birding, you’ll have a blast, because they’re everywhere. I’ve really enjoyed this winter, and this was an amazing adventure! Gators aren’t my favorite usually, but they add a lot of excitement for us when we take walks or do any exploring or driving!

Florida Keys
We stayed in the Keys, and it was a blast! We stayed at an Encore called Sunshine Key, and that was a really great place. Down at the marina, there were sharks and tarpons that we really enjoyed watching, and that was where we rented kayaks. The sunsets were amazing. The Keys had very small deer that were really cute and fun to see, gators, dolphins, whelks, and conchs. We biked out on Old Seven Mile Bridge to Pigeon Key, kayaked on the ocean, and drove through all the islands out to Key West! It was a really fun place to explore. It was a really fun adventure, and we…

Jasper, Banff, Mount Revelstoke, Kootenay, Yoho, Grasslands, and Riding Mountain National Park
We hit seven Canadian National Parks! Fall is a beautiful time of year in Canada, and we really enjoyed our trip. These places are breathtaking. We saw a lot of wildlife, too, which was really exciting! (I haven’t posted in a really long time because I’ve been very busy.) We saw multiple bears, and one with a cub! In addition, 2024 was a year where people were seeing an incredible show of gorgeous northern lights, and they were beautiful in Grasslands National Park (Saskatchewan), a dark-sky park, Manitoba, and in the U.S.A. as well, once we came back. Surprisingly- usually it’s the other way around- the cameras really made them…

Glacier National Park
We took a trip up to Glacier National Park! It’s an incredibly amazing place, with gorgeous views and overlooks. We were all astounded by the amazing views and beautiful lakes. It’s been on my bucket list for so long! I’m thrilled to have finally visited it. It was really crowded, so we didn’t get to do a lot of hikes, but it’s incredible place. My brother and I climbed up on Weeping Wall and splashed around…Glacier is such a fun place! Despite all the pictures my parents had seen on Instagram of Lake McDonald’s “vibrant” rocks, it seemed to us like it might be a scam. It’s possible that there…

We’re going on a trip!
The summer in Yellowstone is long over, so we’re headed on a road trip soon…almost 4,000 miles, towing! Going from Grant Village, Yellowstone, up to Glacier National Park, and then we’ll cross the border into Canada and hit two Canadian National Parks, Grasslands and Riding Mountain National Park. From there we’ll return to the USA and cut down from North Dakota, all the way down to Florida, where we’ll hopefully get to enjoy the heat after the chilly weather up here. (Yellowstone has been a little chilly!) It’s going to be really fun! I love driving, and the longer, the better. I think it’ll be a really fun trip! I’m…

Yellowstone National Park
We spent the summer in Grant Village. My mom was working, so we got a site all season (late May to mid-September) at the employee’s campground. We also got a discount on our bear spray- which is super expensive for seven seconds or less of pepper spray. In Grant, there’s a general store and a mini store, a visitor center, a few restaurants, everything within a few moments’ drive. There’s a marina down at the lakefront as well, too. It’s a really great place to work and spend your summer at. On my mom’s days off, we were free to explore the park. We did the loops, saw the Grand…

Grand Teton National Park
This summer we went to Grand Teton National Park. It was an incredible place! The Tetons were unbelievable. (Hint for people who haven’t visited; It’s pronounced like Tee-tawn.) The sunsets are good and the nighttime thunderstorms are amazing. A streak of lightning illuminates the entire range in the middle of the night. And in the day? Beautiful lakes mirror the mountains and forests perfectly…a lot better than most cameras can capture, LOL. The entire park is breathtaking. My favorite thing we did there was Taggart Lake. While the name doesn’t really sound like an either inviting or astounding place, I have to say it was my favorite. It was slightly…

Hi!
This is my first post and I have no idea what I’m doing! I’m building this site to write about my adventures as a teenager in a full-time family. This summer my mom has a work-camping job in Yellowstone National Park, and it’s been a really fun year! I’m thinking about writing down stories and maybe adding pictures from what we’ve been doing. I don’t know where we’re headed…(although my parents told me multiple times)…but I think it’s going to be fun to record all of it on here! Hopefully Mama doesn’t mind me borrowing her computer a lot!
